Wear strips are bearing and guiding components used in hydraulic cylinders to prevent metal-to-metal contact between moving parts while maintaining correct alignment of pistons and rods. They absorb side loads, reduce friction, and protect both the cylinder tube and rod from premature wear, improving overall system efficiency and service life.
Our wear strip range is available in Phenolic and Bronze PTFE materials, allowing the correct selection based on load, operating conditions, and performance requirements.
Manufactured from resin-impregnated fabric, phenolic wear strips provide high compressive strength, excellent wear resistance, and dimensional stability under heavy side loads. They are widely used in heavy-duty hydraulic applications where robust guidance and long service life are required.
Bronze PTFE wear strips combine a strong bronze backing with a low-friction PTFE sliding surface. This construction offers excellent load-bearing capability together with reduced friction, smooth movement, and improved wear performance in dynamic hydraulic applications.
