NOK TCN shaft seals are pressure-capable radial shaft oil seals designed for rotary applications operating under elevated internal pressure. Compared to standard TC-type oil seals, the TCN design features a reinforced sealing geometry and spring-loaded primary lip, allowing reliable oil retention in pressurised environments.
TCN seals are available in NBR (Nitrile Rubber) and FKM (Fluoroelastomer) and are commonly used in hydraulic pumps, pressurised gearboxes, industrial transmissions, and rotating equipment where conventional oil seals are insufficient.
Pressure:
Up to 10 bar under standard installation conditions
Up to 20 bar with correct mechanical support and reduced shaft speed
Temperature range:
NBR: –30 °C to +100 °C
FKM: –20 °C to +200 °C
Surface speed: application dependent (must be reduced as pressure increases)
Higher pressures require suitable housing design, adequate seal support, and controlled operating speeds.
